5 Budget-Friendly Ways to Make Your Wedding Table Look Elegant
You don't need a huge decor budget to make your wedding table feel elegant. After years of designing tablescapes before I became a full-time wedding officiant, here are five real tricks I still swear by.
1. Skip the Chargers, Elevate the Napkin
Chargers aren't as essential as they used to be. A well-folded napkin paired with the right glassware can carry just as much elegance, at a fraction of the cost and rental hassle.
2. Shop Fabric by the Roll, Not by the Tablecloth
Instead of buying pre-made linens, a large roll of fabric from a fabric store (Los Angeles' Fashion District is full of options) can be draped, folded, or layered to create a custom, textured look for far less.
3. Let One Statement Centerpiece Do the Work
A single tall, dramatic floral arrangement in the center of the table often reads as more elegant than scattering several smaller ones. It also leaves more room on the table itself.
4. Mix In Real Candlelight
Mercury glass votives or simple taper candles instantly warm up a table. Candlelight does a lot of visual work for very little cost.
5. Source Smart
My go-to sources: CV Linens for table runners, linens, and backdrop bases at great prices, wholesale party supply stores for vases, and Amazon for florals, candles, and small accent pieces.
